Caitlin's Perspective
After completing this research project my perspective on cobras and mongooses has definitely changed. Before, I thought that cobras were vicious creatures. Now I know that they are shy and will only attack when threatened. So, if you avoid them they will do the same for you. I also learned that some types of mongooses, such as the meerkat, live in groups. I always imagined them as very independent mammals! Two cool facts that I learned from this project are, cobra venom can be used in some medicines and mongooses are kept as protective pets in many parts of the world. Mongooses are illegal in the United States, though. My perspective on these interesting animals has definitely changed!
Breanna's Perspective
My viewpoint on a mongoose and cobra has definitely changed. I know now that cobras just don’t want to be bothered, they wont just strike everybody for no reason. Then, there is the mongoose just wants to protect people, and their babies. Cobras and mongooses are alike in many ways, they want to be left alone, and want to protect their young. That’s what everyone wants to do, isn't it? That’s how my perspective has changed.
